Our Purpose

TWO GREAT STATEMENTS FROM THE BIBLE DEFINE OUR VISION:

The Great Commission:

"Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."  Matthew 28:19-20

The Great Commandment:

"Jesus said, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all you soul, with all your mind and with all your strength.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as your yourself.  All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments."  Matthew 22:36-40

From these two statements, there are three areas of concentration:

*  An Upward Focus - Exaltation

*  An Inward Focus - Edification

*  An Outward Focus - Evangelism

From these three areas of concentration we have this vision statement:

Our vision is to glorify God

by Exalting Jesus,   

by Edifying the Saints,

and by Evangelizing the World.
